Our organization is part of the American Youth Football league. The Worlds largest youth football and cheer organization. Within the conference, there are two divisions (DIV I and DIV II).
The program is based on the following guiding principals:
Dedicated to teaching youth through positive role models to become leaders and teammates.
Emphasis on learning, playing, and enjoying the sport while instilling high moral standards by stressing the importance of academic achievement and community involvement.
Fostering confidence and a sense of self-worth, in players that extend beyond the field and into school, family and community.
Preparing youngsters to face the future with sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, responsibility, self-discipline, positive aspirations, academic preparedness and confidence. If we teach them positive lessons, such as playing by the rules, our young athletes will learn to live by the rules.
To make youth football and cheer ALL-INCLUSIVE, by not excluding participants based on superficial factors (such as weight, finances or athletic ability).
Registration must be completed online, football players must attend an in-person verification date to have weight, jersey, and pants sizes verified.
If this is the first time your child has been with the Vikings Youth Football and Cheer program, they will be required to provide a copy of their birth certificate and medical physical.
