Homewood Flossmoor Youth Football and Cheer Club

The HF Youth Football program is an instructional level program. All children 6 through 14 years old are eligible to participate. (Those who are 14 must be in 8th grade or under during the 2022 - 2023 school year, no high school students allowed). **There are no tryouts, any child that wishes to participate is able to do so.

The program is based on the following guiding principals:

  • Safety First and foremost we want our players to be safe and learn the importance of being safe while tackling and during various different plays.
  • Sportsmanship Regardless of the outcome, it's important for the players to understand that winning isn't about a trophy but about the lessons learned and the strive to continue to do your best.
  • Full Participation Players are taught the importance of teamwork and being apart of a team. "A team is only as strong as its weakest link". When one person doesn't pull their weight, it's reflected in performance and the team dynamics.

Games can be played on either Saturdays or Sundays during the season. Certain levels may also play games on Wednesdays for additional player development opportunities.  A schedule will be distributed at the start of the season, once details are confirmed by the League. All football players are required to participate in the football season and during playoff games (depending upon your team schedule).  Football players are expected to arrive 2 hours prior to every game for warm-ups and weigh-ins.
